A SL55 delivered 8/18/07, and an E55 wagon delivered 5/11/05

Check Engine Lite is on

My check engine lite it on car has 375 miles on it ( for some strange reason it came on after my wife drove it for the first time a total of 1 mile

) Taking it to the dealer tomorrow A.M. Hope it it a minor problem. Will keep y'all posted. Wolf

Did she put gas in the car. Most common cause is a loose gas cap. You will probably still have to take to dealer to have it reset.

Car is fixed, it was a loose vacuum hose.

I have an SLK 55 AMG and I wouldn't be surprised if I had engine problems. All AMG engines are hand crafted by a person. Hand crafted meaning put together by hand. Lift up the hood of your car and look at the engine cover. There should be a little plack on it that says HAND CRAFTED BY ..... That is why you can't order and SLK 55 AMG and that is why they are limited production cars.

SLK55 I dont know who told you that you cant order a SLK55 I ordered my in April 04 if you read back on the board you will see many of us were giving updates on our ordered cars progress from manufacture to delivery...by the way can you post some pix of YOUR car? Wolf
