ray catena has two of them on their sales floor, one tectite and the other mars red

BklynBenz, I was at Ray Catena on Saturday, and saw the Mars Red SLK55 (it's been there for at least a couple of weeks), but not a Tectite one. I thought that Tectite was a gray color that Mercedes doesn't make any more. I don't see it on the MB website for any current MB model, and it's not listed as an available color in the current SLK brocure. Are you sure you are not talking about the black on black SLK350 they had in the showroom? If it's really Tectite, I would be very interested in the car.

sorry you are right, i just looked at the mbusa website and i see they dont have it listed there. it was def an slk55 and i was sitting in it with my sales guy checking it out. of all the colors listed on the mbusa site it must have been the designo graphite, which does look like tectite
