Nice Combo...

Congrats on the car and the wheels. Mind if I asks the price and specs on the rims?

Cheers,

Vincent

Call Peter at Wheelexperts.com they to the fitiment measurements on MB for HRE
19" HRE 845 series 8.5 F/9.5 R = $5600 (most reliable and least expensive)
Tire Rack Goodyear F1's 235/35 F/ 265/35 R = $900

Its the same setup as the F1 safety car.

A second look..

Your wheels is pretty much exactly what I had in mind. a Simple 5 spoke design without rivets and machined lip. Although the 5600 price tag is a bit hard to swallow. I spent a lot of money on nice wheels for my last vehicle and it is near impossible to prevent curb rash and/or damage to rims with low profile towers. My first road hazard incident was due to a pothole that slashed the sidewalls of two tires and bent the rim. Another incident involving a metal gate from a trailer that destroyed two tires and severely bent another rim. In my experiences, wheel repair shops can not restore them to factory specs.

Then again, the SLK55 AMG deserves a nice set of wheels.

Thanks for the info and best regards

Although, I got my wheels aftermarket my dealer offered wheel and tire insurance for 5 years for $399. If anything happens to the wheels or tires like what you described they will replace, not fix, but replace at no charge with free towing. On my last car, a 03 SL500 with Brabus tuningi, I went through three 20" rims in the first 8 months totalling well over 1,000 bucks. I'll make the $399 back on one blow out. Well worth the piece of mind.

More pics please....

Do you have any more pics? I recently bought similar rims from Carre but in silver and would like to see a side angle shot in the sun. My tires and rims will be here before the car arrives.

Thanks in advance
