Happened to me twice on my last C36! But I still put them on my SLK55 anyway; just to catch the bustards who steel them!

Since I work for MB let me help clear a couple things...
1. Every AMG car is supposed to come with AMG floor mats. The problem of having the regular mats when the car is delivered occurs at the time of the PDI. If the regular black SLK mats are in stock and if the dealer is lazy, guess what, you're getting the mats that are in stock. If there is a backorder issue with the AMG mats then a good dealer would make the client aware and proceed from there. Otherwise the dealer should order the AMG mats if not in stock.
2. As far as I know black is the only colour that you can get in carpet mats for the SLK whether its AMG or not. Maybe the red stitched mats are aftermarket, US only, or euro-sourced, I don't know, I've never seen them.
3. The quality of an AMG mat and the regular MB mats are the same. Only the logos are different. However, when just like any soft carpet, if abused it won't last long.
