SLR/C199/R199/Z199: Got my Mclaren SLR

I dont think there are many owners of the mclaren period.
The car sounds like a spit fire according to jeremy clarkson
But the interrior also has a whiff of cheapness about it.
Jow much did it cost? It certainly is a rare model

It is rare for sure but I was expecting to see some owners here.
I really like this car, different feeling from Aventador, 458.
around 200k

Congrats on your purchase. I don't think you will regret it. Asking prices for the SLR Coupe and Roadster have gone up in the past six months, and a few auction sales of low mileage Coupes have exceeded $400K. A black over red Roadster with 2,000 miles sold for $396K at the Gooding Amelia Island auction a day ago. No one knows where values will go long term, but I can't help but think they will do OK for this very limited production beast.
I got my 2008 Roadster not quite one year ago. As others have said, this car is EPIC! I have owned many high end cars over the years. The SLR is one of my all time favorites and a keeper for sure. I'm wondering if the poster who made the "whiff of cheapness" comment about the interior ever sat in an SLR? Maybe if you focus on just one or two small details you may feel the interior lacks sophistication, but that certainly is not my impression in the larger context of the entire interior. The leather, seat accents, and carbon exude luxury IMO. Also, once you fire the motor and step on the accelerator, any quibbles about the interior disappear as quickly as the road in front is racing towards you. The SLR is an absolute rocket, and sounds like a Detroit hot rod. I flat love it.
