yesterday night i was back on my way from munich to paderborn (where i live) it was a boring 500km trip. but suddenly i saw some very strange lights in front of me, i pushed the hell out of my diesel to see what car has so extraordinary backlights. this autobahn part was limited to 120km/h so i could catch the strange car. hm, it was black, had super-bright LED-lights, very wide and very low, no exhausts? yeah i was driving just behind a privat (Licenseplate from Göttingen) black SLR. the drive was very cool and over 50km long i could follow him, drove side by side, and he let me getting in front of him. 2 times he gave his baby a nice kickdown and wooot, these sidepipe produce an awsome sound and acceleration is outstanding! but than he slowed down so i could follow him again.
thanks to the really cool unknown SLR owner for making may trip home really exciting.
i only shot on bad foto with my mobile-phone, but have you ever tried to follow an SLR with a VW Passat AND shot fotos the same time? *grin*

Damn your a lucky man Felix, im still waiting to see my first SLR. In Sweden we arent sharing the same luxury you guys have in Germany, everybody drives Volvo V70

funny story bevor the SLR-meeting:
i was invited to the BMW-central in munich for an assesment-center. out of 300 people looking for this job (junior salesmen) i made it, due several interviews before, under the last 6. only two were choosen, but not me. so i was some kind of sad/angry while driving back home from the bmw HQ.
after i didn´t got the job, it was really a joy to meet such a nice mercedes and driver this night.
