I have a SLK 55 AMG. My friend was reading in Automobile or Motor Trend, maybe some other magazine, but it said that MBZ has plans for a new SLR with 700 hp. The body shape is similar but different. And then it also said that it will be coming with a 1000 hp SLR. There was only one picture of the new SLR so I guessed it is going to be the 700 hp SLR. The picture was an animation cartoon looking kind, you know the ones that never look like the car concept. But before reading the article I knew it was a SLR but with a differnt shape. Some mroe detail on the side of the car.

I really think the SLR at the moment is very close to its platform limit. I mean that much HP in such a light rear wheel drive car? I mean it could work, but I definitely think 4WD is in order.

This is another person on the mbworld.org forums that is talking about the samething that I was talking about two SLRs, one with 700 hp and the other with 1000 hp. The magazine is Autoweek. I was kinda off.

well, I hope they at least add a LSD to go along with that stable of horses. I can't believe most AMGs in the US have an open diff. What a POS.
