Wheels

Personally I think the changed wheels look terrible. Why try to pimp something as nice as an SLR.

Those rims look terrible to me too.

The stock SLR rims are better, but even those ones don't comare to the stock rims on the 65's - those are a work of art. These are a definite step down.

.... As for the rims.. it is the house of Pimp My Ride.

They have a good reputation, though.

with all due respect to the nice work that WCC does to cars, I believe they shouldn't touch a NEW car let alone a supercar like an SLR. pimping it only pushes it down on the list, down to escalade, Range Rover, ...
I agree the original rims are ugly too...but I dont think any other rim would fit the extreme styling of the car, not even the 65's...though they are lovely on any other car.

The Worst

Those have got to be the worst looking rims I have ever seen, can't even imagine someone putting them on their SLR.

i personally dont like the rims, but it seems the general consensus blames WCC like they own the car...the owner probably picked the wheels, why blame the shop for the owners taste in wheels. If it was me & it was my business i'd put 20" chrome lexanis on it if thats what the owner wants (as much as it would kill me). You run a business to make $$$, & turning away customers because you dont like what they want to put on/in the car isnt the smartest way to do it

jus my $.02

something fast
Actually the owner of the car is the owner of the(Giovanna Wheels, GFG wheels, and Gianelle Wheels) company. Since WCC pushes his wheels on pimp my ride, they use the car for marketing. I personally think the wheels are okay not great, but much better than those horrible turbine wheels that come stock on the slr. They have a five star wheel used in some mercedes benz press photos that make the car look incredible, I have yet to see them on an actual car.

I completely agree with you. I never blamed WCC.
