Glad to see you are a fan of the SLS. There is an EW for a couple thousand that can be picked up that Edez mb has had great success with.
The AMG GT has already more US copies on the road (because of the price point) then the entire run of SLS so, long term gain won't be there (Prices are already under 99k second hand). If they make a BS GT it will kill the resale on the GTR. Those guys will take a huge hit. (Hopefully GTR guys are leasing.)
Keep in mind the SLS is still a "new" car, only out of production for two years. I bought mine for $65,657 under sticker and have been enjoying it for 2-1/2 years now. I considered your typical Ferrari, Lambo purchase but, I needed something that I could put golf clubs in!
The SLS does EVERYTHING very very well. It is the only no compromise Supercar available.
Just curious how the roadster prices are holding up vs the coupe. Originally Posted by NewportSLS

Our local dealer offered us a new one on the showroom for $50k plus off a few years ago (wrong color for us but stunning car) and I just came across a sold 2012 roadster with 12k miles on Ebay for probably $110k (shows a best offer off the $116k price was accepted).
Seems to be a much steeper drop on roadsters or the coupes sales offers vs. actual sales price vary by a large margin.

The Roadster will always have a much much much much much much greater drop then the doored wonder. Only 884 in Noth America. A rare breed indeed. Rare as we know doesn't mean valuable. However, it is the better driver of the two cars. It's 2 cars in one! With top down... the old antiquated M159 plays a HELL of a tune!
The SLS is much more than doors.

The 2012 on ebay that sold for $116ish had been involved in a accident in Florida back in 2015. So not really a good data point for roadster values.Originally Posted by Wolfman

Yes but only on the higher mileage cars with only a few to no options. The lower mileage, highly optioned, well cared for cars are still highly sought after and are being bought up and put away into collections.
Any idea on a 2011, single owner, 2,000 mile nearly loaded SLS is worth?

What’s the color combo? Both interior carbon fiber packages as well as carbon fiber engine compartment cover?Originally Posted by 20C4S

Sounds like a really nice car. I forgot to ask about wheels and alcantara steeing wheel but I would expect that you would have to pay @ $165k. Any pics of the car?Originally Posted by 20C4S

Having followed the market for 16 months, the SLS AMG variants do not appear to sell quickly. There are obviously less expensive roadsters available. If you like the car ie colors , options, etc pull the trigger. If you feel that you can get it for less, make a lower offer. It sounds like a very nice car! I liked Alubeam, however found it somewhat difficult to match up the paint with the leather & other options I wanted. No regrets after 14 months of ownership. You do have time!

Thanks, much. And you are correct about time, as I tell my home buying customers "there's always another house..." I have noticed a few cars sitting at dealers for a year or more without a nickle in price reduction. Other corporate owned dealerships seems to have programmed in price reductions every ten days or so. Doesn't make sense for a supply and demand market. But, hold outs for higher prices do help SLS owners maintain value...if the car ultimately sells.Originally Posted by Last300SL

I missed this one by 7-10 days. Car went to Germany...Sold at asking price.

Well, this sale tells you all you needed to know. Alubeam silver appeared on 4% of SLS production. That would mean that 35-36 Alubeam RO's came to USA. There were 9 different leather options. Barring special order considerations, I guesstimated that 4-5 Alubeam/Classic Red Leather roadsters came over from Germany. Once I added in B&O stereo, red top, carbon fiber, 10 spoke wheels, low milage, etc, I knew that if I found my "car", I would negotiate until I got it. All went well. I drove it today & yesterday, & had blast. If you are more flexible in your requirements, you can certainly get a better deal. Given a slow market, I felt that I could find what I wanted! You will as well.

Seems like a fair price for a 2014 with 8k.
2011 silver on red with 802 miles just sold for $220,000 at Mecum Kissimmee.

I am surprised, Auction does not begin until 1/2/20. Was this car sold privately? Do you have photos/details re this particular Roadster?

The car sold back in January. I’ll continue to say, the lower mileage, highly optioned, well cared for cars are still highly sought after and are being bought up and put away into collections. This car was only missing CC brakes.

At 2020 Mecum Kissimme Auction lot #S114, a fully optioned 2012 SLS AMG Roadster sold for $209K. It was Lemans Red with White leather & 252 miles. It had PA4 option package which cost $87,038-. Does anyone know about this option package? This package is not shown in the order books which I have seen. Photos are seen in the catalogue. Color combination, including red top does not appeal to me, however one buyer liked it very much!
