You won't find these prices reflective of the true value as only 1-3% of SLS's go through a Manheim auction a year (and this number is shrinking as lease returns dry up). Then dealers will mark them up $10-15K hoping (they will) to make their 8-10% or more. (Used car dealers have to make 7% on your trade-in's just to stay in business). More and more US SLS's are being exported as overseas values are climbing. According to MB North America, they don't release the total production numbers until three years after the production ends. So I don't think anyone will know for a couple of years.

I started collecting air cooled Porsches about 25 years ago. I decided to sell two of them. A 1994 Turbo 3.6 and a 1988 930 and purchase the first of the two Black Series. I fell in love with the car so I sold off all but one remaining Porsche for the white Black series. I plan on keeping them for a while!

 

It will definitely pay off in the long run. Those cars will be worth a lot of money in 10-15 years. Just don't drive them��

 

If I buy a SLS I plan on driving it. The extended warranty by Mercedes is an amazing deal and purchased it for my GL. Especially for the SLS if a transmission cost $20k.

Don't forget to negotiate on the extended warranty. I called 5 random Mercedes Benz dealerships and gave my vin and purchased the factory extended warranty over the phone to the lowest offer. The range was $1,000 spread.

I would say this is the best deal on the market right now, especially since the seller is an authorized MB dealership. Someone should pick it up.

I am tempted. Will the price drop down to the $100-$110 in 2016? This is like a stock that has resistance in the 130 range.

Killer Killer Killer deal. That should move quick. The only thing I see is that I'm 100% certain from the pics that is the Iridium silver not the ALU-Beam Silver.

 

What's a more "classic" color? Iridium silver or ALU-Beam Silver? Or does it matter...

 

I like the Iriduim silver better (pictured below) IMO. However, the ALU is a $12,000 upgrade. (pictured above)

 

That is a great deal. You will not see these go any lower. In the UK they are trading for around 130k pounds and higher, which is around 200k dollars

 

went down there to put a deposit it was sold already someone from Main put a deposit today....
Having said that they showed me the car, beautiful, very very clean car....but even if it wasn't sold it is not from me, i'm too tall for it, can't sit in it, can't get in it, gonna have to hold of for the convertible one....

They had another one last month that one was sold for $128k.

I just bought this car - dealer said there were a dozen calls by 10 AM, lucky I was the first one. It's the exact color combo I was looking for and very few miles, for the price, could not be beat.

Very nice buy, you can sit back and watch the value rise. Until the next stock market crash that is. Which will not be far away. Long tern the car is definitely a keeper.

 

you bought a one very clean gorgeous car, congrats, was there earlier saw her in flesh, with a sold sticker on it, my sales person told me some guy from Main bought her though looks like you are in NJ, I guess he didn't know the details....

DATURK - thank you. I won't see it for over a week as I'm away and delivery hasn't been scheduled, but I'm pretty excited about it.

I agree with others, I think it's the lighter silver, the color I wanted. I think the combo is closest to the 300SL that most recognize.
