I thought about that, but the problem is that the mercedes sign would be no more visible, it would appear as an empty black grill

What you really need to do is remove the "wing" and star in the middle of the grill. If the mesh doesn't extend all the way across pull that out too and have someone make you a new one that does.

Not a fan of the fake carbon fiber sticker, however. The SLS deserves better than that.

I think it would be better served buy real carbon fiber grill, side vents and hood vents. Plus those stickers are hell on the paint under, and with part of the paint exposed to sun the faint fade would be noticable.

thats if you had a cheap carbon fiber sticker. I got the 3M vinyl wrap. In additon the paint is protected with a transparent ventureshield protection. So the vinyl wrap is actually on top of the transparent paint protection and the paint wont be damaged. The car looks amazing and really catches eyes on the road

Although I normally don't care for red cars, your Le Mans red SLS with the CF is very-very attractive and sporty.

I think the grill is excellent with the star appearing to float.

Why did you choose to not carry the CF stripe down beyond the rear window, excluding the wing?

Do I understand that you applied (clear) VentureShield on top of the entire hood and roof, not just only under the CF stripes.. and if so, you probably did the entire surface area of your SLS (in VentureShield)?

I wanted to extend the stripe all the way back to the trunk, but that would've lloked ugly if I wanted to wrap the wing.
So that's why I stopped at the roof and wrapped the wing.
