I officially placed my order for a 2014 SLS Black Series last night. Will be one of less than 50 coming to the United States.

Early July build date(1st-10th) and should be delivered early August. Will be one of the first ones to hit the states.

Below is my list of equipment, I opted for the blk/red two-tone interior and the only real option I ordered was wheels everything else is included in base price. Only other options are B&O radio and matte or solarbeam paint. Car comes pretty well "loaded"

Are you going to keep the other BS's? If so, you should pick up a SL65 BS and the hard to find SLK to round out the entire BS production. You would be the first to ever do it

I plan on keeping the CLK and C BS. I am keeping my eye open for an SL65 BS, if the right one comes along I will jump on it.

The SLS is an amazing car. Its diffrent than the M156. You will know this when you drive your new BS, which should be even better than my 2011 M159

Congrats ok your success! I hope you enjoy every moment in that car. Mercedes benz on manhattan has a SL65 black series is it is wider then a ****ing biz. Flared up fenders and it is so beautiful....should consider that aswell

Well, two. They did make an SLK55 BS. But, that is easily forgotten and not as appealing in regards to the others.

Congrats! I thought 150 were coming to U.S. according to my dealer. I'm on #6 out of 4 so 2 people have to drop off. Autoblog's review said they're not limited to any production number:

No, there are only about 50+/- SLS BS's coming to the United States. There were only 130 C63 Black Series sent to the U.S. total combined between 2012's and 2013's, that number was published by AMG on the Private lounge and they said they are only making a fraction of that number in the SLS BS although they have not yet released an exact number they range of 45-60 have been thrown around. Ihave had some discussions with some higher ups at AMG and they keep hinting at the 50ish number.

The SLK BS was not sold in the U.S. and I have already tried getting my hands on one.
