No, my wife don't wear one. I'm talking about the 3M Clear Bra. The dealer is giving me a what they say is a good price, about $2,500. I seem to remember that they go for a whole lot less.
I'm not sure I even want it. However the first road pebble chip will make me sorry if I have no protection. (there I go again)
Anyone choose to go this route?

since my car are only mostly driven for morning cruise and gathering with my club.
i chose this path, had 3M Venture shield, and since labor are very cheap back here, i had them printed out in SLS shapes already so just stick without cutting.
cost me $400 :p (no joke)

I googled clear bras and found the price range to be between $800-$!200. I called my salesman and said I'd only pay $1,200 not $2250. After fifteen minutes he called me back and agreed to do it for my offer of $1,200. Cool!
They are going to do the whole hood at my request so as not to have a line across the hood where the bra ends. They're doing the fenders and mirrors too.
I'm just conflicted as to whether or not I really want it. It seems to take something away from the car. However, chips on the nose and hood are certainly unwanted.
Well I made the deal so I should do it. Of course I'll post photos of how it looks when it's done.

In my honest opinion i would not go for 3M. Especially on the SLS. They tend to yellow after a while and they don't have self healing that Xpel Ultimate has. I got a full package on my SLS and i could not be any happier. It is definitely better to pay extra for that premium film.

Expel is a great product. I didn't choose a brand but I did asked if it was 3M. The Mercedes guy says "yep" but I doubt that he knew.Originally Posted by TomMercSLS

I've been told that there have been improvements in the clear material over the years but I can't confirm that.

I would not pay a penny over $1000, in fact you should be able to find it for $600-$900 depending on how much coverage you actually want. I had my wifes GL done, entire hood, bumper cover and front fenders for $900

What can I do? I already made the deal. But I'm ok with it. If I shopped around for a lower price, I'd be working with an unknown person. The guy coming to the dealer is like their regular guy.Originally Posted by jrcart

The installer used LLumar material. It comes with a five year warrantee. It's 8 mils thick. Most others are 6 mils.
i can't see it!
