New owner with a couple of Questions
Hey Guys,
I just picked up a 2011 SLS coupe. Two questions. I want to get a little more sound out of the car and would also love to get rid of that second cat, but every x-pipe I see for sale is $2,000 plus. Any options out there that don't break the bank?
Second, I really like the Brabus and MEC CF rear spoiler, but again don't want to pay $3k for it, any other options?
Thanks and sorry for the crappy phone pic.

2,000 for an x pipe is a joke!! Easy and cheap way to get some more sound, remove the resonator and replace with straight pipes.. Want it louder? you can also remove 2nd cat and straight pipe that.

Insane, Right? I hate MB/exotic tax. I think I might just get an exhaust shop to fab one for me.

Also, does anyone know if you need to remove the headers if you just do an x-pipe?

Wannac63,
I Haven't had the chance to get over to an exhaust shop to get a quote. Unfortunately, my wife thinks the car is loud enough as is and it is her daily driver, so it is unlikely I will do it any time soon. I do not believe you need to remove the headers for an x-pipe on this car. I had no issues with my C63BS, which sounds awesome with the secondary cat delete. If you do get it done, please post a video.

go with supersprint X pipe, or caragraphic 800-1000 not 2,000 stay away from renntech the most over priced system on the market in my opinon. 2500 for a xpipe? please. they use the same stainless steel as other exhaust companies and supersprints known for there work. I got the xpipe and exhaust. might do headers in summer

I think the Wiestec Tune and Headers are worth it. And wouldn't go with anything else. Let me know what you find, and what quality you'd get out of it. I also found this:
