Thanks assume this is a $175K car and 185K with MB warranty
By the way...for those looking for a salvage Ford GT...this is as good as it gets. The GT Guys were original engineers on Ford Wixom Plant Line and have serviced like 50% of Ford GTs and a salvage rebuilt by them is basically OEM.
Thanks assume this is a $175K car and 185K with MB warranty
It has zero options and in your preferred color combo - basically, it's the unicorn you've been looking for. You ought to be able to get it for substantially less than the range you mentioned (due to no options). Time to pull the trigger!

Don't want to be like gramps in the Harley commercial who bought aluminum siding....
Re: unicorn
Not sure about that; think it's pretty common for first year exotics to be optioned with zero options to get sales rolling and appeal to largest audience
The options larding on is more a Porsche bill padder and Ferrari fender shield $5000 wallet killer
Got zero options on my F GT; did get extra set rubber mats sealed in plastic !
Options Delta $?:
Do options really cost $20K
Didn't realize Carbon brakes or adj. suspension or wheels was that much; can't be CF Trim bits...

Bidding is up to $170k. This car sold about a year ago for $140k. It had 1,300 miles at the time and also had light weight wheels. I know because I inquired about it. I passed because it only had two options.
I think the low mileage is driving price; warranty was $7K too
For me 10-20, 000 miles is fine with no options
Weren't base wheels 5-spoke?
Here's your answer on the wheels.
I do have to disagree with your opinion on finding "no option" SLS to be relatively easy. This is MBZ's halo car and people with $200k to spend are not your typical buyers - they want what they want - and it should feel exclusive.
What makes this one a "unicorn" is the fact it is 'no option' PLUS in the exact color combo you want PLUS the exact wheels that you want. Now you're tossing in that you prefer a high mileage example to save a few bucks. Ok, I can respect that but recognize that you just keep moving the goalposts. Perhaps you're one of those guys who enjoys the hunt more than the actual ownership?
Barring financial meltdown, these cars are going up in price. Your window of opportunity below $190k is closing.
Edit: Oops, I do see now that it has 1 option - the B&O sound system. Unicorn status lost. :^)
It's simple. To me, the unicorn now is to find a SLS with less than 10k miles no matter what year for less than 150!
I think you can still find a high mileage cars under 150.
The clock is ticking !!!!
Remember: no more depreciation on SLS's.
Very soon, resale for MSRP.
Kayvan007, let us know when you find your Silver/Black, higher mileage, no option SLS. I think I've only seen one car in 3 years that has had Zero options. Good luck!
I may be wrong but base on what i see on earlier posting, OP is comparing the SLS to the likes of C GT / Enzo / Ford GT etc.
But isn't there a difference in terms of production numbers for those cars comparing to the SLS?
In where i am, a SLS MSRP is somewhere in the reign of 500k USD and it has a lifespan of 10 years. It is selling somewhere 65% lower even today for a 2011 MY.
In terms of being a collector, wouldn't the SLS BS and the GT Final Ed be more appealing?
From what i see i noticed the price of rare and LIMITED PRODUCTION cars such as the Ferrari 360 CS and 430 Scud increase in price matching CLOSE to the MSRP insteady of actually surpassing it?
I had the guilty pleasure of owning a Lambo LP650-4 Roadster which is limited to strictly 50 units and only a handful in RHD for where i am from and the only reason i can sell for high is due to the facts
1)Exporting to RHD country in Europe where there is almost 0 to none unit available - Exclusivity
2)Limited to strictly 50 units
3) AND MOST IMPORTANTLY , It is the first of its kind for a limited edition uprated roadster which i dare to say has the performance of a LP670-4 SV instead of a mere LP640.
Just my 2 cents that i feel that the production of the SLS is way too high to be a future collectors .

They made more than 4,000 Ford GTs. Only 2,700 SLS (all versions) were sold in the US.
For reference, they made 3,258 of the 300SL (Gullwing and Roadster) in the 50s and 60s. But those aren't collectible.
Sorry for my ridiculously shallow statement and what little knowledge i have of classic cars
I love to shoot my mouth off but if i am not wrong i would dare say the production numbers are somewhere a little north of 7000? in total and just slightly north of where i am i could get a SLS at around 85k USD and it does not have a lifespan as compared to where i am where it has a span of only 10 years.
And what more the SLS is like a replica of the gullwing using the M156 engine platform that is heavily tuned and have its component modified excessively?
Please do not misunderstand me,i love the SLS!
Thank goodness my buddy and i had a shared allocation for a RHD SLS BS coming April used imported from Europe.
Cheers mate

I will; been buying collector cars same way for last 20 yrs.
I've seen dozens on ebay since 2011.
As I noted before plenty of low/no options of all exotics are made in first year; this is industry practice and even has some "just-in-time" supplier/inventory issues driving it.
The car in listing topped out at $175K
The prices are still $130K-175K; saw three in $130K range sell in Nov alone.
There will always be another car,,,and usually in better condition, for less money and easier deal.

Keep waiting for the next one.
Yours will come some day.
Just get prepare to spend a little bit more.
The actual prices will not be the same.
Boys, boys, boys.... It's the internet. Hopefully, Kayvan007 gets his car at the price he wants someday and, we will probably be best of friends because he is local to me.. I think.
If he is an internet "troll" (doubtful) and you keep replying to him this useless thread will never go away. And then he wins. We (actual owners) want the price to climb and he "a potential buyer" that may have missed the bottom... want prices to fall and, is using the forum to try to make that happen.
My advice is to take the high road and, no longer reply. Let this useless thread fall to the bottom. In the meantime post up pics of your car and, your adventures in the SLS. That is the way to increase the value. Same with the SLS pricing thread don't let it become a speculation thread (At least some actual facts are poster over there)or is it a good car or bad car thread. Let's stick to the facts and, thats the current upward trend in SLS pricing on listed cars. THREAD CLOSED I hope.
