MB Dealer says I can't afford to fix SLS

There is a thread on an issue regarding a DCT box issue I have had on this forum but I need to start another thread so people can see this. In short I have had an issue with a CEL. The Mercedes dealer told me the recommended repair was NZD$22T but couldn't guarantee that would fix it. When I investigated and found Ferrari would fix the box. I was concerned. I was told by the dealer maybe I wasn't fixing it because I couldn't afford it. It has now taken almost 2 months to get them to do a fluid change/service. Car been there for 2 weeks for an ordered fluid change now. Why? They had to order the fluid. Make you own call. Cannot contact the national distributor either as they have no customer contact access.
