So here's a new one. I've had my BS stored with the factory trickle charger connected from the day i bought it in 2015. Never any issues. Last week i went to take her out for a drive and the battery was stone dead. I mean absolutely dead. Seems the trickle charger crapped out and i didn't know it. Tried a new Factory charger but the battery never came back. I called the dealer to but a new one ($1500+) and i was told the battery is on back order and the battery is specific to the BS. I did notice an electrical connection on the battery itself which i've never seen before. The parts person at MB said it's the only battery MB ever build as most other batteries are made by Interstate etc and relabeled.

So as it stands i have a car that i can't drive and and don't know when i will be able to drive again. Could be a day, week, month, year?

Anyone else have this issue?

I have a regular SLS, not Black Series. When my lead acid battery died, I replaced it with an antigravity lithium battery and have been very happy with that. Not sure about that extra connection though. That is separate from the positive and ground posts on the battery?

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately Antigravity batteries won't work for the Black Series. I called them. I own 4 AMG's and i think i'm done with MB/AMG. This a joke that i can't get a battery for my car.
