Why is this site so slow?

Can the server for this site be upgraded or something? This site has become very slow compared to other sites with twice as many members(ex: Bimmerforums).I am a member of both sites and I am constantly online with both!As time goes on it's getting worse and worse on here.

I have to agree that things are VERY slow here. But I just came from BenzWorld and things are even slower there, so I believe it is my computer or Internet connection. Some days this site screams and other times it crawls. This "high-speed" environment is very complicated and confusing. I have learned that it is NOT always as it appears. Chill...

I agree it's slow and I think it started yesterday. I'm testing my connection at 4.8Mbps consistently so I know it's not the net.

My speed is terrible. I'm on Adelphia Cable ( ) at only 500 kbps while the average cable speed in FL is 2.8 mbps.

Takes about 15-20 secs. for a page to load on this forum.

Only on this site does my computer react slow.Mbworld needs to upgrade their band width or something because this is ridiculous! Goto bimmerforums and you can compare it and see how fast you can browse on that site.Bimmerforums are always upgrading to make it better for the members. What the hell is going on with MBworld?

I've got DSL and at work we have whatever the US Gov can afford to buy. Both of them are slow on this site, but everything else is OK. Maybe NOTKTS, Mash potato, YaYo, and Jordan have all got together and hacked into the system. Ricky, fix it.

I merged the two threads.
The staff is aware of the problem and is researching it.
Along those lines as I said before, MBWorld will be getting a new server anyways.

Yes....but....if the problem isn't found and corrected even faster servers won't help! Was there a problem found? If not, expect it to return...even with faster servers.

The problem seemed to be the servers themselves. Not enough power for 30k+ members.

Running slow for me as well (in Dallas) but not for ricky in Houston, for some reason. Rest assured we have reported this to the admins. Sorry for any inconvenience.
