Mouse roll-over preview
I've seen this on a couple of other message boards.
You can preview a thread by putting your mouse over a topic (until highlighted) that shows you the first few lines of the body of the thread without actually clicking on it.
IMHO, I think it would be quite useful. I attached an example.
