Mods,
The C63 forum has deteriorated in quality. It's now nothing but vendor ads and guys posting FS threads. If this continues, I imagine a lot of us would leave, depriving mbworld of many good people. Vendors would also lose if that happens.
A forum is more useful if it has good DIY discussions and folks exchanging unbiased views about the cars they own and love. It has to be pretty simple to create a sub-forum for vendors instead of letting them clog up the main discussion area.
I hope you guys look into this and act appropriately.

Please search before you clog up the forums with threads that have already been created and discussed. This came up not too long ago.
This is a free forum, what do you expect? If I was paying to use MBworld I can see why it would be annoying, but someone has to keep it funded and running. Vendors pay to post and that money goes to keeping this going. Mods scare them away and eventually the forum dies all together.
Just let it go man, sift through it. It's really not that bad and sometimes vendors post some really cool things or really good deals.

i think the forum's just been slow lately in general. maybe because a lot of cars are put away for winter?
i think that's why it seems like there's more vendor posts than usual. maybe?

Honestly what is preventing you to ignore the vendors' threads?
They are so many interesting posts in here already. You just have to use the search button. In my 2years+ usage of this site the only change i noticed is the turnover of members being more frequent.

Do you really love peanut butter, or are you just saying that....
I really think it is just slow lately, it's still cold in most parts of the country, and I know that if I didn't live in Cali (yeah, it was 75 here all day today, take that) that I would have my car put away and not really be posting too often. I think it will pick back up soon in spring. Most tracks everywhere else are still closed, not many are doing any modding, it is just a slow season.

I love PB also. And I don't really mind the vendor posts. On a semi related note, lmk if anyone here plans to do a track day. I'm in Los Angeles.

On a more "on-topic" note, Bimmerpost is quite a large site and requires all vendors to post advertisements, etc. in designated sub-forums.
Not trying to advocate or plug another site. But it can be done.
Personally, I have no problem with how this site operates. If they asked my opinion, I'd give it, but I don't help pay the bills here so I doubt they want it haha.

I for one don't mind the vendor adds here TOO much. They have their other threads but pretty much the ONLY category I check is this one and I assume lots of others as well. So vendors probably do not get enough traffic in their own sections.

This forum sucks because of the adds!
I bought my mods and comeback maybe once a month instead of once an hour.
Guy who started the post is 100% correct. The vendors just screwed themselves. Now I will buy less mods because of them jamming their adds in to these forums and not vendor specific forums.

The ignore list does a bad job. It suppresses the contents but your "new posts" is still completely screwed up with all that spam (that is still displayed as a new thread), especially that Don Wrapper dude whateverhisname.
#19
Why not ignore? Because each page now is 75-90% of ads and I have to search through 5-7 pages of posts where normally I would only have to look at one each few days. That sucks! I'm not doing that, and it's spam and shows a trashy website. Sure the website has to pay for itself. But with a clean and one with a high member count the venders will be eager to post and pay to post in their own vender thread. Be proud of your website, don't give it away. We are talking about Mercedes Benz cars nots Kias, heck I bet their site might be run better!

Really? You aren't going to buy parts because vendors flood this site? Are you a child because that's just about the dumbest thing I've heard all day. I must admit, this is my first stop on the forum today though.
Which brings me to my next point. 75-90% are ads? Go look, I'll wait. tick tock, tick tock, tick tock. Oh wow, just over 20% are. Some are going to say "holy crap 20% of the threads are ads?" but then the rest of us are going to be like "huh, definitely not 90%" or "seriously, people still ***** about this kind of stuff?"
You guys crack me up. Threatening to leave and say you won't come here anymore unless the mods clean things up. Newsflash, you aren't what keeps the forum running. So go ahead, leave, pout away while MBworld just keeps on truckin on.

^ I have. I understand the reference and my point was that even how dumb "I love lamp" is and the context surrounding it, this thread is still worse.

Just ignore the ads. I'm active on two other forums, motorcycles and sailing. They all have ads and often great deals but most times I just ignore them.
