Email Confirmation - Security Risk!
I have a flag at the top of the page asking for email confirmation. This is the second time this has appeared. I view this as suspicious and a security risk. Please remove it. TY

This is pretty standard practice to ensure your profile data is up to date since this site sends notifications via email and they'd bounce if your email on file is no longer valid. The site periodically asks to the verify the email address. Other sites do the same.

I don't have a screenshot. It's not asking me to confirm it at the moment, but from what I remember, it's a yellow bar towards the top of the page when it does. It's been a while since I remember it popping up. I don't know if it only does it, if it reaches a certain threshold of bounced emails for a particular account.

What is the security risk?

The notice is legit. It helps make sure the email address on the account is current.
