Some text in posts I view are hidden. Why?

Sometimes I cannot see text of posts. I almost always see some, like the example below, which makes the post confusing. Then, hopefully, I'll be suspicious and highlight the post to reveal the potentially hidden text.
It doesn't matter if turn off adblocker, firewall, Hosts, or use Firefox or Opera.
I don't recall having this issue on any other website. I admit it's hard to notice what you cannot see, but this is the only place I notice where the text doesn't make sense like this.
All this makes me assume it's the mbworld website itself? Anyone else notice this or is it just me?

This example post is here: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-c...nce-shaft.html

Text color changed by poster or by system (mbworld) and becomes unreadable with device color scheme/mode.

What's extra confusing is some of it shows. Who would change text color part way though, or why would the website decide to do this?
Another clue is when it happens it seems to do it a lot that day, then it could weeks or months and all is good.
E.g. the very the very next post I read after this was completely blank.

Thanks for the re chassis

I think it happens when a user uses dark mode on their device and formats or edits their post. Then for all or part of it, it may set the text color explicitly to white. Then when you read the post on a device with light mode, it shows as white text on white background.

I believe this happens when a copy/paste is performed, depending on the source used. In your example, they set the font color to white (FFFF) after the first sentence, which matches the background in the non-dark mode. I corrected it.

Thanks

Excellent theories, makes sense. The only oddball is they seem to happen at the same time. E.g. it didn't happen for months, that I noticed, then literally two posts in a row. Now I doubt I'll see one again for months. So it makes me think it's on my end, but regardless it's really weird.
So when you guys open that link, which version do you see?

I use dark mode for both of my mobile and PC sessions and text show up fine, perhaps the staff in the previous post corrected it.

Yes, I edited the font color out to fix that one example.

Oh so the text shows up in both light/dark PC and mobile version only for that post so the same issue will happen next time that forum member post and they will need to manually edit it? The system doesn't default to a colour that works in both mode?
