These are identical to the Silver Arrow brakes except for the color... real Silver Arrows are painted silver front & rear, these are black front and unpainted rears. All four calipers are in very good condition. Good used pads are available if you want them, but since many folks are picky about what pad compound they use, I assume you may want to just buy new pads of your favorite type.

Rotors are NOT included - I can supply part numbers so you can purchase either solid or drilled rotors from your favorite MB parts vendor. I can also provide OE brake pad part numbers so you can look up the various aftermarket pads available. Rotor sizes are:

Front: 334mm x 32mm
Rear: 300mm x 22mm

These brakes are a bolt-on upgrade for all 1992-1995 400E, 500E, E420, and E500 E-class models; as well as R129 SL-class models from 1990 through 1998, including the 300SL, 500SL, 600SL, SL320, SL500, and SL600. The brakes can be made to fit all other 1986-1995 W124's (E-class) and 1984-1993 W201's (190E/190D) with additional modifications (email me if you need info on this). 17-inch wheels are required to clear the front Brembo calipers, and some models may need trimming of the rear dust shields - again, email me with your exact year/model and I can tell you if any mods are required.

Bekkers sells this exact front brake setup (as a "Stage 3" kit) with new calipers, rotors, and pads for $2098 - just for the front brakes! The StopTech 355mm setup is fabulous but requires 18" wheels, and costs an eye-popping $2500 (again, fronts only). These are the only two commonly available "off the shelf" big-brake options for the W124, R129, and W201 chassis. Get them here for half the cost!

Note: These calipers are the ONLY factory Brembos larger than 300mm which fit correctly on the W124 / R129 / W201 chassis, using factory rotors, hoses, and hardware - with no Mickey-Mouse modifications.

Yup, but you already have them... these were OE on the 99-02 models. You don't really need an upgrade on a '99 model, they're already pretty killer brakes!

To install these on a 190E-16, you'll need to:

1) Replace the front lower control arms with the late 124 style, which have a non-replaceable ball joint (this adds clearance between ball joint and thicker brake rotor)
2) Install 17" wheels
3) Cut the rear dust shields to allow the larger rotor to be installed
4) Buy four new rotors to match the calipers
5) I think you'd need new (slightly longer) bolts for the rear calipers

That's about it...

Just sold my 190E Cosworth. Got a 92 500E as a replacement. So I guess these brembos should be a direct bolt on? Or do I still need to change LCAs?

If your '92 still has the original LCA's, it's pretty likely you'd need to swap them out for the late style LCA's. On some cars it can work with the early LCA's but the air gap ends up dangerously low (~1mm) and I really don't recommend driving it like that, although I know some people have done it. Also on a '92 car, you may need to cut the rear dust shields to install the larger 300mm rear rotors. Otherwise, it's pretty much a bolt-on. I have this exact setup on my '92 500E but my car also had new late-style LCA's installed at the same time the brakes were upgraded.
