2. OEM Clk63BS steering rack – makes the car a GT3 in response and handling - sac $1k, I paid $4k for it! Bear in mind that the turning radius as with all black series is a bit less. Small price to pay to make the MB a P car in response. You may also want to add a power steering cooler as the BS has one. I had it on the car for less than 15k miles. It will bolt up to any w209 clk and c55 as I had it on my c55. I don't know about other w203's etc. If you give me your vin via pm I can do an interchange with EPC.
Thanks,
Sean

Ok so because people have asked, I did an interchange off a C55 rack on EPC as the CLK63 Black Series rack bolts right up to my C55. Thus, it also fits the following models as compatible with the C55 rack:
w203:
c200 CDI
c220 CDI
c30 CDI AMG
c270 CDI
c160
c180
c200 Kompressor
c230 Kompressor
c240
c320
c350
C32 AMG Kompressor
w209
clk 320 CDI
Clk 200 Kompressor
clk 220 CDI
clk 270 CDI
clk 280
clk 200 CGI
clk 350
clk 240
clk 320
clk 500
clk 550
clk 55 AMG
clk 63 AMG
So basically it looks like it will fit any w203 or w209!
Thanks,
Sean

Still avail! All reasoanble offers will be entertained. I just pulled the invoice and it was $3450.00 new when I bought it! The rack only has about 15k miles on it. It includes new inner tie rod ends as well. See the attached pic. It is in great condition.
Note that it is a bolt in installation as the power steering lines bolt right up with all stock components and mounting etc. I just have duct tape over the holes to prevent damage and leaking of fluid still in the rack.
Thanks,
Sean

I looked up EPC for you. Unfortunately the SLK'S run the old worm and sector steering box and not a rack and pinion. bummer on the old tech. I had a c43 with that box and hated it as it wore quickly and created slop I detested!

As you have a w209 it bolts right up. On the rack with air tools, if I were to do it again, I think it would take me about an hour to install and then fill and bleed thereafter. You just need to note the orientation of the lines and make sure not to booger the o-rings by popping the plate off first and then twisting the lines off. The rack is in San Diego.

Sean,
Your pm box is full. It would not accept my response -- 2 to 3 weeks -- let me know if that's ok and shoot me a regular email per my last pm to you.
