Dashboard replaced 2000 E55. Is this common?

2007 CLK550 Cabriolet (Sport)
Dashboard replaced 2000 E55. Is this common?
They said the Benz no longer makes the exact color dash that is in there, and they have to replace it with a charcoal dash, which is "close" to the original color. It had to be replaced due to cracks by the airbag. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes this has happened for my 99'E55. Cracking of the plastic around the passenger airbag. I haven't replaced the dash ...

Its pathetic ... It was noticable probably over 2 years ago.
