WTB: '99 e55
hello i am looking to buy a 99 e55. is there anything i should look for? i know its the first year they made them. but i want the old style front end. are they reliable?

Only 4 colors available. Black, Obsidian Black, Silver and White. Many W210's have rattling sunroofs and headliners. Search on www.autotrader.com . Good Luck.

Don't do it...
save your coins, or keep looking, and buy an 00 or 01 instead. Much better build quality, trim, features, and reliablity. I have owned a 99, 00, and two 01's. The later the better.

FWIW I have a 96 E320 that was built in the first month of production that has 100k miles which is the most reliable car I have ever had. Still is rock solid quiet and runs perfectly. The only problems that I have had is elctronic failures due to aging of wires and circuits. (it has been sitting outside for the last 5 years)
I would, however, suggest getting the newest iteration of the W210 E55 as they improved each year they were produced. If you don't like the front end put an aftermarket styling kit on it.
