2003 E55
My w210 is on the way!
Shipping from Ohio to SoCal - Should be here end of next week.
2000 E55 Silver/Black - only 99,000 on it!
Sold my 1997 w210 E420 with 66K and invested $3K more and now have the E55.
Would l love some mod heads ups - it's stock. But that's OK, too!
Already have the Comand to put in and am upgrading to the v60 cradle and PSE. So I can use Sprint.
Before I got the E420 I had a C32 that was in the shop all of the time. It was fast but cheap feeling and acting. I can't wait to get my E55.

99K is quite high, IMO (even mine '01 w/ 66K can be considered very high). But hey..... you know the condition and w/ proper maintenance, this car wouldn't give you any problems!

Nothing crazy expensive like a blower.
But if getting th E55 a little more air - or updating the software makes a noticeable difference -- I could probably come up with 1-2$ for some fun.
What do you think??

If you want a noticeable difference without going overboard get headers! Biggest gains. And go Kleemann USA!! You won't be sorry.

My w210 just arrived!
I just got my w210 e55 a week ago! Needless to say... I'm psyched. It fits in nicely with my other MB's.

You guys are making me feel like a baby when it comes to mileage. I just put my 02 E55 away for the winter with just under 15,500 miles on it. She's 3 years old and trouble free. I'm still on the original tires and brakes with plenty of wear left. If you treat the 210 right, it should last a very long time. I had the same experience with my 97 E420.

Yeah It's probably the best color for this car.
I read somewhere that in 02 there were only like 79 or 87 of E55s with this color.
I love it. Nice car - seats are not comfortable though. Why do they have to put that damn leather in everything......(((( Cloth is so much better.
And leather is kinda hard.....friend has that 540, and leather is soft there.
Thinking of getting sheepskin covers - you guys know any place I can get them?
Also I have couple of questions I posted in separate thread - if someone can, please give me some answers ;-)

If you don't like the seats get an aftermarket one by Recaro. They have one and it's not leather either and also works with the benz seat controls. Any engine mods?

Leather won't hold the car seat in place even with some blankets under it and I can't figure out how to strap in on tightly (I still have to to rear facing) ;-)))))) And they haven't fitted the heated seats in the back for some reason, and it is cold here in CO in winter.
I'm going to put K&Ns into it. That will be it for now. Just got it couple of days ago )). Later - if I decide to keep it for a long time - I'll think about smth.
I'd like the Supercharger - but that's like what 7-10k??
