Where do W210 dashes crack?

2007 CLK550 Cabriolet (Sport)
Had cracks in dash on my W210 E55...
My W210 E55 dash cracked on the edges near the passenger side airbag. Dealer replaced for free (car was bought Jan 05 certified) because it can constitute as a safetly hazard being so close to the airbag. I did not see any other developing cracks anywhere. I imagine it was very expensive to replace.
