2002 E55 AMG & 2002 Corvette 6 speed
What would you do?
Service wise that is!
I just bought a used 2002 E55 with 50k miles on the clock, and the used car dealer was Zero Minus in helping me with the maintanence history of this car.
Everything works and runs great on it............. butttttttt
I would rather spend a little time and money on prevention, than a lot of money on a cure.
What sevices or inspections would you do right away to this car?
Thanks, Bill

Get the dealer to authorize a local mb dealer to give you a VMI (vehicle master inquiry). You will need the VIN also. The current owner has to authorize, but you want to be at the mb dealer to pick it up to avoid any dealer shenanigans.

Unless it's already been done, service the trans NOW. other than that, any (common) problems with car should be obvious, like rust, a bad fuel tank sending unit, motor mounts, dash cracks, etc. These are the most common things. Beyond that, it should be very reliable.
