Lowering my W210 on 19s...? Problem??

What's up people... So I'm picking up a set of Moven wheels in the 19x8.5" and 19x9.5" selection with 245/35r19s and 275/30r19s for my W210 E55. My question is; am I going to run into a problem when I go to lower the car with H&R sport springs that (as I'm sure you're all aware) bring the car down 1.4" in the front and 1.3" in the rear? Basically what I'm looking for is someone who's seen this done, or just knows for a fact that it won't be a prob... Any help would be great! Thanks all!

As long as your offsets on the wheels are ok you should be fine. I think you should be around et32 on all four wheels but I am sure somebody will have an exact answer.

On my 210E55 I had BBS LM's with the H&R drop and I was fine with the 32 offset on all 4 wheels.

Should be done in about 2 weeks. I'll definitely post some pics once it's complete

Danny, have you mounted the wheels yet? What is the front offset? I don't know if my 2002 E55 front suspension is unusual but from my experience a 8.5 inch rim may need an offset between 25 and 29.

I used a 18x8 et35 that pushes the wheel/tire inward by only 4mm and it rubbed.

E55 (for sale if the right offer comes along)...too many others to list
I have the same wheel and tire size on my 210E55 with H&R's. I have never had any rubbing issues.

We need to know your offsets to know for sure. E55JAY had to return his custom ordered rims using those rim sizes for his W210 E55.

I just installed H&R springs with #1 pads in the front. I also put on 19x8 et35 in the front with 245/40's. rears are 19x9.5 with 275/35's. Front is a hairline away from the susp. bolt.
The front lowered a lot. There is no gap between tire and fender. The rear has maybe a .25" gap.

I concur. Using a 8.0 et35 there is only a hairs with of space left. That is moving the wheel/tire over only 4mm. Anything else would rub. I love Tire Rack and they are the best but a 8.5 et35 will not fit unless you use a 235 width tire. I have been posting this pic here since October 2002:

I think non AMG W210's may use a different steering knuckle or something.

Awesome, thanks. Wheels look great. The spoiler doesn't look that bad...but the grille and chrome headlamp inserts I could, well have, done without.

Damn even I forgot about those mods, I just did a quick download and ran off. Yes I do realize the rings and grille were and are unacceptable. I ask for forgiveness mod gods ... Hey check out this pic of my 210 that I had with CL wheels ... that was way back

HI Vic55 Car looked very nice, maybe spoiler and chrome rings not my type but star gril looks not bad at all to each his own, car moding would not be interesting if all the cars had same mods , so what setup you had ? i would be interested doing it. H&R springs and #1pads all arround ? any camber problems ? how many miles tires lasted ? Thanks

It was a while back (2001) but I think I ran H&R springs, Bilstein sport shocks, #1 pads and S03 tires. The tires I think lasted about 20k and I didnt have any camber probs either. My MBZ service center was able to get it with spec I believe.
