Power Window Regulator & Belt Tensioner
Hello, I have a W210 E55 and two things went wrong recently:
1. The driver's side rear window wont go up. It just froze one day and I had to manually bring it up. Dealer said the regulator is bad and costs $350 to replace.
2. The A/C belt squeaks and dealer wants $450 to replace the tensioner.
I realize many of you here dont really care to do your own work, but I really need to save money and would like to do this myself if I could.
1. Is there a way around replacing the window regulator? Is there a place I can get it online?
2. Where can I get a replacement tensioner? Is it relatively easy to replace myself?

OK I have a line on both parts. Belt tensioner is $170 and window regulator is $150. I think I might have the local shop install both of them for me, still better than the $750 the dealer wants.
Is the "belt tensioner" the same as the "tensioner pulley?" Do I need to replace the belt as well or would replacing the tensioner get rid of the squeak? Thanks a lot.
