AMG E36 steering wheel question

Hi all

Quick question for you. I have just bought one of the 1997 AMG E36 W210 models that preceded the E50 & E55 W210. The interior spec is Avantgarde, including the steering which is in need of replacing – partly due to wear and my personal preference to have a more thicker, sporty feeling steering wheel.

The question I have is would a E55 steering wheel of that model age fit? Or would you guys recommed any other tuning company steering wheels i.e. Brabus, Carlsson etc.

Is so what models are they?

My current wheel has only the basic horn buttons and that is it. The interior is Black leather with a dark (almost black) walnut finish.

Thanks in advance for any advice offered!

Nate

a steering wheel from a E50 or 1998 E55 should fit.

I've been wanting a smaller diam steering wheel for my 99 E320, since the
steering ratio is a bit on the slow side. The OD of my wheel is 15.5". Does
anyone know if the AMG wheel from the E55s for W210 might fit my car...
especially if the OD is approx 14" or so? That would make the steering a
little more tolerable/quicker feeling.

it'll fit but you'll need to get the matching airbag as well.
