2000 BMW 540i
I agree. I have a 2000 540i Sport and may just keep it forever as the new 5 series leaves me cold particularly the interior.
For the recored, I'm first on the local dealer list for an E55. Sould be sweet although I'm not too crazy about the E series from the rear and side rear view. Looks a bit like an Acura. Interior however is GORGEOUS!!

BMW just doesn't get it!
Despite every single major car magazine thrashing the rear end of the new 7 series BMW makes the new 5 series very similar!! Do they just not get that nobody likes it and its ugly? (ok ok there are a few who do like it) I just can figure it out is the BMW design team stupid or something?

I'm 5th on the waiting list for e55 at my dealer...and currently driving a 745i ....well 745i is not that bad...but still i have been around 10 times at service for some small problems...like tire pressure failure...or my IN-dash cd wouldn't eject.....and other stuff....so i fed up and went and ordered a E55
can't wait till this rocket arives......
Back to the 5 series....well i cannot judge about it until i see it in person and drive it, well it looks not that bad...but not that good...
just my 2cents...

anyway, i just heard that BMW is going to facelift the 7 in 04...muhaha...that DAMN Bangle is running out of idea or what!
he created the Z8, and the current 3er, but he probably hit his head while drawing the 7, Z4, and the next 5 or something...
