$155 Oil Change?

$155 Oil Change?
I recently took delivery of my E55. My wife took my E55 AMG for an oil change at a local mercedes shop. The bill was $155.00. Now, this is the first time that I have owned a mercedes. But, a $155.00 oil change!?!? Is that normal?

I know that everything is more expensive for the AMG cars, but that sounds a little high to me! I hate to say this, but are you sure they didn't charge your wife more thinking she would not know the difference? (Hint: she, being female) I hope this is not the case & I would most definatley speak to the service manager on this one!!

I use a dealer coupon.
My dealer, American Service Center in Arlington VA has a Mobil-1 synthetic oil change coupon for $79.95. That is the special so I imagine the regualar price is higher. But I never asked what it is.

what year is your E55 - must be 1999?
Wait a minute! Unless you have a 1999 the oil changes are free unless you had them change the oil before the FSS recommendation.

The Oil change was before the FSS. My wife wanted to surprise me with the oil change on the car. Then, I saw the bill $77.00 for the oil, filter, and shop suppies, the $78.00 for labor. I am going back to speak with the service manager this afternoon.

No Sister, but my wife has some really, really attractive friends. FYI, the last 2 times that I tried to play match maker ended in divorce (after a 6 month marriage) and a heartattack.

I spoke with the mercedes shop and they told me that $158 is the normal price for an oil change on an E55. I called the Dealer and they said that they charged $107.50 for the oil change. I guess for once the dealer is actually cheaper.
