Overall I have read that mbusa.com claims these things go 0-60 in 5.4 seconds, I for one don't believe that... what are the real numbers? Thanks!!

Hm every car magazine review I've found on the 210 55 supports the manufacturer's claim. Why wouldn't you believe it?

I read somewhere that Motor Trend tested a 2002 E55 and the 0-60 was 4.8 sec. flat. I can't seen to fine the article. WIll try to look for it tonight. But I'm 100% sure of the number.

Edmunds test a 1999 E55 0-60 in 5 sec flat.

Anyone who own a 2002 know that their E55 make more HP according to the owner manual 355HP 390ftlb TQ

I don't know about 00-01 E55

I think all manufacture rate the HP lower because of insurance issue and not all car are the same. For Xample, car in CA are slower because they have all these pollution controll crap install in them. Also if your live in high elavation of sea level your car perform different too.

I read that somewhere..heheh

Where or how would one test and see what thier actual 0-60 time is?

Is a drag strip the only way?

Are there any other reliable methods to test this?

I guess you can use a stop watch, the kinds runners use. LOL, but a drag strip would be more accurate I believe.

Since our car is over 5 year old it not going to perform like it was new
In order to get a real accurate reading you should do the test on a new vehicle. Car & Drive, Motor Trend, Edmunds... they alway use a new vehicle to test. You won't be able to get an accurate # now that our car is older.

I read it somewhere that back in 2002 or 2001 motor trend test a 02 E55 and the 0-60 was a flat 4.8 sec. They won't be able to get the same # now if they test a 02 in it present condition.

You ever drive a new car and a few year later it not the same anymore, Time wear out thing.

Even peopl wear out over time. Can't expect an old man to keep up with a young man.

'04 Silverado Z71 - sold all my Benzes and need another!
Go out to the track or even a back road somewhere in the middle of the night where you know there isn't any traffic and try it out. Now you guys have me thinking, I might just have to go out with a stop watch and check it myself.

2002 e55 w211 ....
im sorry to put a spanner in the works but i dont agree.... a new engine doesn't perform better than an old... you dyno a new one and then the same engine later that has had a few miles on it..... il bet the one with miles makes more power!!!!!!!!!

as the engine loosen's up.......... my mondeo st220 (uk) 3.0 v6 made 220 bhp NEW.... 13k miles on it made 242bhp!!!!!

my freshly re-built sierra cosworth made 377bhp and 10k later made 412bhp
