are 2000 e55 engine mounts same as 1998

2002 e55 w211 ....
Thumbs up are 2000 e55 engine mounts same as 1998
hi guys my e55 is the 98-99 e55 .... do you know if the engine mounts are same as the face lift e55 99-02???

or even better will the later mounts FIT???

Yes. All the V8 N/A M113 engine mounts,meaning all cars from 98 t0 2k6 N/A are the same .
Notice I stressed N/A motored V8 cars.

P.S. what mods do you have? Nice hp and Tq #'s.

so in which case.... an e430 engine mounts would then be the same......

thanks ... only mods (engine wise) belive it or not is a chip/flash..... however its a flash/map a friend of mine has made as thats what he does day to day........

i have yet to put some Filters in like greens and looking to try and get a little noise out of the exhaust.... so it burbles but not intrusive... not sure to put a back box on or just do a centre box delete.......

Yep!!! ALL M113 motored cars use the same style motor mounts. I have E55 motor mounts on my C43 and they look exactly the same as my old C43 motor mounts.

Have you dynoed the car or are you just guessing the hp output? A flash alone will not give a N/A car almost 40 hp

thats cool..... just got a price from merceds for them £69+VAT so works out about £85 or $170 each......

now il see if they are cheaper for a e430????

car has been dyno'd ..... its all fly wheel bhp of course..... and been mapped for SUPER UNLEADED fuel which in the uk is at least 98 RON and mostly 99 RON..... if i put normal unleaded in it dets/pinks..........

without chip it made if i recall 358bhp and 401lbft... cars covered 86k miles

the 1st map on normal unleaded gave a raise of 15bhp....... but after tweeking it and messing about with it we finally got the 381bhp

the goal is 400bhp..... so next will be filters and try to source a better cold air feed.....

so in all fairness over stock car gained 23bhp and 27lbft

but it now has a very noticable power band mid range........

so reading you sig./.. i think your the man to speak to about these engines......... any air box mods that can be made.... how about cold air feeds......?? anything would be a great help...


and even better have a look at my thread about engine mount.. recent and see if you could shead some light.. im 99% sure it is an engine mount problem.......

i can confirm..... passengers side engine mount....... as in when in car left hand side as you look out... USA drivers side.....

put it in drive.... stepped on brake and applied gas as if to do a burn out .................................. HOLY CRAP ENGINE ALMOST JUMPED OUT OF ENGINE BAY...... must of lifted best part of 4 inch's!!!!!!!!

so 2 on their way to me .. will be fitted thursday!!!!!!!!!!!! (tuesday today)

so in mean time nice gentle driving....

Engine Mounts
I had my engine mounts replaced last year. Apparently there are 2 sets for the N/A E55. Intially, MB installed the early ones on the car since the parts department thought they should be the same. However I noticed that there was a vibration that I started feeling thru the gear shifter that was never there before. I complained about this so they replaced the mounts again with the newer ones and the vibration went away. You might want to ask about this. Good luck.

Good luck. Hope they work for you. Just check for unusual vibrations coming thru the gear selector when you are driving especially on uneven roads.

well bought mounts to.. find they dont fit...!!!!!! differnt totally.....

the ones i took off have a sloped top while the ones i had ready to put on where flat topped........?????

so what now....

mine is the 1998 model with signal lights in fender........ so i gather 99-02 mounts dont fit mine then!!!!!!
