Bought A Few Items

Well, concerning my rough idle problem, I took it got it scanned today... no codes came up so I thought my MAF was just dirty so I bought a can of CRC QD Electronic Cleaner (for my MAF) and STP Fuel Injection Super Concentrated formula for my car. Before I use these products on my car... I'm going to ask you guys for approval... don't want to do anything stupid, especially since I'm new to cars.

The QD Electronic Cleaner looks like this:

And the STP Fuel Injection stuff looks like this:

Thanks again guys!

Can't comment on the electronic cleaner, but I have used a few FI cleaners including the posted one and did not notice any major improvements when used on my beater Ford Focus

Well, if it doesn't work... I really don't know. I guess I'll try some other stuff.

I have used the CRC electrical cleaner on previous vehicles with great success. But, when it came to my E55, the issue reappeared a week later. I honestly believe that the only cure for a worn , or defective, MAF sensor is a new one. No codes; no surprise. Mine did not code until it completely crapped out. I see no harm in applying the fuel injector cleaner. Changing your fuel filter, if you haven't recently done so (30K), may also be beneficial.

Well I sprayed it on the sensor part of the MAF, it's more responsive, faster. The vibration is still there. Tomorrow I'm going to fill up a full tank and pour that fuel injection cleaner... after I pour that in... I'm going to reset my ECU... and pray everything is O.K.

Most Fuel Injector cleaners don't work the ones that do seem to help is:

((Only put these in your fuel tank when full! Use one or the other only not both at the same time!))

Chevron's Techron FIC
http://www.chevron.com/products/prod...ate_plus.shtml

or

Sea Foam Motor Treatment
http://www.seafoamsales.com/motorTuneUpTechGas.htm

Do some hard city and highway drives with this in tank. It will clean the fuel lines, injectors and carbon build up.

If this does not work for you, Tune-up time. You can use the CRC for the MAS but I also had the problem come back a week later only to replace the MAS in the end. Always fill your tank with Super fuel NOT REG TO SAVE MONEY BECAUSE IN THE END AN ENGINE REBUILD COST MORE $$$$$.

Well I guess I'll just pour in that STP stuff... and if it doesn't work, I'll just buy that Chevron stuff and pour it in.
