Will Kenwood DNX7100 fit in '01 E55?
I have a 2001 E55 and looking to replace factory Bose stereo w/nav. Some research shows that the Kenwood DNX7100 does a lot (ipod, bluetooth, nav, cd, dvd, touchscreen). Does anyone know if it will fit cleanly without modifications?
Anyone else have a double din aftermarket unit to recommend?

It may be possible...your installer would have be pretty good with a router or have a back up center console panel. He'd also have to fabricate a mounting bracket, too. What would you do with the AC 1/2 DIN unit?
I have the Kenwood unit and it is a really a trick piece. You will really like it once you can get it installed.

I don't have to change out the AC unit do I? it's a separate piece from the stereo head unit,,,thanks for your info, your car looks really good.
I use to live in Tampa, it's a great place, enjoy the weather, you won't be concerned about winter tires like we are here in the windy city,,,

No winter tires...but a lot of rain and standing water. My other set of tires are drag radials and for awhile they were my only set (now they are strictly for 1/4 mile track use) and driving in the Summer rain cycle(esp. I75) was hazardous to my health...too much torque...not enough tread.
