Exclamation Please read this and help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi guys, me again, may have read my previous post about my passenger side elec seat stop working............ WELL THIS IS SO WEIRD PLEASE READ AND give me any advice you can possibly think of.....

Basically - passengers side seat stopped working 100% the seat cusion doesn't move forward or back and seat cusion BUM doesn't move up or down... everything else works just fine!!!!!

strange.. a little maybe but this is the WEIRD BIT

noticed tonight my drivers seat isn't working 100% either... BUT is infact working the opposit to the passengers side as in:

Seat cusion moving forwards and back - passengers NO drivers YES
seat cusion BUM up and down - passengers NO drivers YES
seat cusion front up and down - passengers YES drivers NO
back rest of seat forward and back - passengers YES drivers NO
head rest up and down - passengers YES drivers NO

nowwhen you press the buttons it simply clicks and clicks off if you try and use a bit that doesn't work.... my initial thought was dead motor in pasengers seat...... BUT..... now being as they work opposit to each other im thinking maybe a GLITCH that has happened and the car is playing silly buggers

maybe? maybe not?

any idea's?

is there anyway to reset the whole seat thing? is it a dealer re-set or can i do something? disconect battery?

and if it help in the time its not been used it has suffered from 1 TOTALLY DEAD battery where it was taken off car for 2 days and 1 really flat bat, just enough to light up dash?

thanks again

Have you had the dealer run a diagnostic scan? My seats are messed, but not as bad, and I am hoping a dealer scan will let me know if it is an electrical or mechanical problem. Good luck.

not yet was just hoping someone might be able to shed some light.... my last resort will be scan , i have bought a program off ebay that im hoping il be able to scan.. but we will see... there is a section on it for electric seats so fingers crossed it should be a reset and they will be sorted....

i hope

Not sure whether mine was the same problem... but after service, my driver's seat could only move backward... and none of other position worked (backrest, headrest, etc.).

Apparently, what it required is a reset... and to do that, all you need to do is to move back the driver's seat till the end, and that's it. Try that and see whether it solves everything. I think this is mentioned somewhere in the manual.

Climb under the front of the seat, and unplug the large connector. Do not unplug the yellow one, just the larger black one. Good luck

That box under the driver seat controll the seat moving positions and memory, might be defective. See if someone could let you borrow there and swap it out so you can test it in your car to see if that the problem.
