First of all, thank you for great information provided in this site.

I am receiving a Message "Service B in 100 Miles", and not sure, which service to be done. I have just 4 days ago, done OIL Change and Filter Change etc.

This is a question similar to mine now that you bring it up. Let's see if we can get answers.

Does anyone know the different repairs required for the different sevices that need to be done on these cars?

Mine is also telling me it need service. I can't remember which it tells me, and I'm too lazy at the moment to go look, but I need it.

So does anyone have a list, or just know what they are?

Looks like I can do all of these myself but I might just have to get it done by the dealer so theres a record. I hear they might deny warranty if they see that this wasn't done. I also have extended warranty.


Flexible Service System - B-Service
What we do:
- Change your vehicle's engine oil and filter
- Replace the dust filter in all SLK, CLK, C-Class and E-Class models,
and in S-Class and SL-Class models without the active charcoal filter
- Replace windshield wiper inserts
- Inspect and rotate tires
- Lubricate and inspect throttle linkage
- Ensure the parking brake, steering play, headlamps and exterior lamps,
warning and indicator lamps, horn, windshield/headlamp wiper and washer
systems, seat belts, and backrest lock (S-Class only) are functioning correctly
- Inspect tires and check tire pressure (including spare)
- Inspect brake pad thickness and disc condition
- Inspect front axle ball joints and Poly-V-belt
- Check and correct all fluid levels
- Reset your vehicle's FSS counter
*Model year 1998 through 2006 vehicles are equipped with the Flexible Service System (FSS)
