Yes they are the same but i thought the insert only come painted in silver and Antracite (gun metal)
Those look black which i wanted. my look like gun metal.

Well he mentions that the wheels are "AMG style" so maybe they're aftermarket??? They do look nice will the black though...

Yeah they're only AMG style. They are full black rims (Inside & out) with chrome spokes and lip. I want to have black and white for exterior and these rims brought out the colour and size and once I paint my calipers then it'll be great to see the white brakes through the black wheels.... well, I'm hoping!

What kind of springs are you using? Your car looks lower than Peters and mine also. Those rims almost look like 20's

I think he have Eibach spring because I have H&R with Pad #1 all around and my drop was less than an inch. His seen to drop more than an inch. I don't know why everyone with H&R spring get different drop result on there car.

Car looks nice with black trim on white car.....was thinking about blacking out my trim on my car, but my car is black and it becomes "too black".
I noticed you are missing your "AMG" (small) badge on the lower part of your front spoiler. It came factory original in 1999....the only year it ever appeared on the front of these E55 cars!
While I like 19" wheels....given our impoverished road conditions (pot holes!) here in Northern California (I might as well be living in Albania!)....the 18" OEM wheels I have are punishing me enough.

I went with #1 pads and no lowering springs to get about 1/2 an inch of lowering which looks fine and once I load up my car with four fat *** guys...it sits low enough.

Again, enjoyed the photos of your car....those headlamps look like the W211 series lamps...

Thanks for the comments guys. have just got some more paint done so will post pics soon.

Mfte55black: got the small badge in my glove compartment and going to spray and fix on soon!

jordanst2: I de badged the car and then sanded the chrome and cleaned them with meth spirits before spraying them and fixing them back on the car.

michakaveli: New pics coming soon of lights.

Just finished spraying the bumper trim and side view mirrors black and have sprayed the calipers white. Also got the roof done black as well so will post pics soon.

Thats about it for the exterior of the car. I'm changing the exhaust system to two straight through pipes with dual tips on each pipe so I'll have quad exhausts. Watch this space!
