So I need a new head unit..
I'm getting the magazine empty crap. Tried all the recommended solutions without success. I also contacted the ebay seller for the OEM single CD, but he has lost his contact in Germany and won't be have any in the near future.
Any recommendations on a good head unit that blends and looks close to original.
TIA

I'm upgrading to a newer Navigation system in my car. I have Command 2.0, 2006 Disks, Argos, and the CD changer I'm going to sell. Everything works perfect! If your interested let me know. We can work out a deal.

I also have a waiting list of 2 people for my W210 Command 2.o Euro spec with TV button, DVD and separate tuner for TV. Send me a PM if interested and you'll have to contact Steve MBenzNL for the mount, cables and wood trim piece.

Thanks for the offers guys, but all I want is simple CD changer, no navi etc. Reason being is this car is not a daily driver - it will be seeing a lot of garage time. I only need a basic radio/cd player for the days when I go to church and the Saturday evening family dinner dates.

You know what I always liked, was the factory in-dash CD players that are very rare and hard to find. Hit up Steve (MBenzNL) in here and see what he can find you in the Netherlands. He would be your best source and most reliable!

I have a MBZ single in dash CD player in my car. Work great with the factory CD changer. You can buy a use factory Changer for $220 or a indash CD player on ebay for around $300

Make sure you follow "E55 PWR" CD changer repair, it might not be your headunit thats at fault. it might be the plug on the back of the CD changer. The link is in his signature, it helped me out alot.

Actually that's the first thing I took a look at. The plug is not loose at all.
