LED lamps questions...
Once I got the polarization correct...the new bulbs looked modern and fantastic. However....there is a problem!
Now my "LAMP OUT" warning indicator comes on every time I turn on my headlamps! The only way for me to turn off the warning indicator on my dash is to press the tiny "R" button on the dash panel.
Does anyone know how to make these LED lamps operate without having the "LAMP OUT" warning light come on the dash???
Also....I happend to notice that the new Lexus LS600 sedans come factory equipped with white LED lights over their back license plates...and its a very cool look. (although I'd never own a Japanese car!)
w210 license plate led resistor
I decided to put my stock 6418 bulbs back in....at least my "LAMP OUT" warning light stops illuminating on my dash now....
Its too bad those LED bulbs do not work by simply plugging them into the sockets...they looked great...

So there might be hope for a similar solution for the mercedes if you search around.
If not, this site has a cheap device to handle the resistor functions:

A guy says he found bulbs that don't require a resistor.
