LOTS of new pics with the DPE 19" Wheels (Jimmys)

Hope you like them Because I LOVE them

I think my car is a bit higher then Jimmys in the back But for now I don't care, I still LOVE the look on my car as it is! Thanks Jimmy for letting me buy them

It's the streetlight that makes the car look gold in the first pics

Abalone,
Nice job looks great. Can I ask you what springs/pads do you have? Also are you in the US? If so then where did you get the Euro front plate bracket? It looks really nice. Cheers, Max

Used to drive E55
You know what they say; theirs a twin somewhere in the world

Looks great Now do you have H & R springs? and what size pads are you on? I think Jimmy was #1 all around with Eibachs springs. To get that mean pimp look you will have to drop it (jimmydasicklook)

While I'm not a big fan of switching out wheels on these cars....I have to say 'these particular wheels' look sharp on your silver car dude!

People keep asking you if your car has been lowered, or they mention that you should lower it....I think it sits fine as it is now. My guess is you have the #1 pads and some European springs and your car sits lower than a stock US model....I would not be worried about lowering it any more....but to each his own.

Thanks guys!

These pics are taken on the same day as I changed wheels, I didn't really had the time to let it settle after being jacked up. I don't know if it's just an illusion, but I think the car looks a little bit lower now after a few days when I've driven it some more. Anyway, I like it as it sits now.

I think I have #1 in the front, maybe #2 in the back? I guess there will be some sunshine pics also when the spring comes to us

NICE!!! Glad you love the wheels brotha as I did. Yeah, looks great now but I would drop a bit. Even if you don't want to go as low as I did eventually, you should come down just a bit, like this :

2000 Silver E55
I have to agree 100% with Mfte55black because I also am not a big fan of swapping out the wheels on our cars, I just have never seen any aftermarket wheels really look like they blend well with our cars....up until now, because I must say that these wheels look very nice and "clean" on yours.. congrats!

Nice look.

Hi!

I really don't know, maybe #1 or #2 I guess I'm in Sweden so the front plate bracket looks like this over here

Noooooooo, you're car looks beautiful with the DPE's, DON'T TOUCH IT!!! Just check out your spring pads and if you're not on #1's which I think you might already be, then get some #1 and call it a day. Or, to save some money you could remove your springs and cold cut (without heat) a coil at a time until you get the height you desire. I haven't cut springs on Benzes before but numerous guys in here have with positive results. Nice pics. too!!!

Jimmy , isnt the jury still out on wether cutting the a coil of the springs is a bad thing to do or not? I ask because I need to drop my car a bit more but concerned about going that route. I am truly surprised by how little it dropped with the H&Rs.

Hehe, I forgot to write that if I was about to go 20s it has to be the same DPE's like these 19", I still think this model is the best looking wheels I've ever seen on a car. I think the front is perfect, but the back could maybe be a little bit lower. But for now I'm MORE then satisfied
I have some other plans in the next few weeks. I'm about to change to 2 high flow catalytic converter and then tune it for 99 Oktan fuel like we have over here in Sweden. Ought to bring out close to 400 HP, or don't you think?

Well, yes they're still deliberating but for those that did it, they swear by it. I don't know, I'm the type of person that's that would knock it before I try it so I would give it a shot. If you do, make sure that the shop does not use a torch or any heat involved in cutting as the heat would weaken the spring.

Anyway, which H&R did you put in, the sport??? Maybe it's your spring pads, are they #1??? You might be surprised and riding on #3 pads which would make a difference. I had H&R sport in my last E420 W210 and it was low enough on #1 pads for me and I like it low. Even ask RaffE55 in here as he is sitting on H&R sport with #1 pads and his car is low...

I thought we only had one set of H&Rs available for our cars, which is actually the set for the 430, I didnt know that there is a " sport" Version, am I missing something ? Also , I did go for safety sake with the #3 in the rear and #2 in the front, the rears looks really nice but the front is too high! I know that going to #1 is only 4mm difference and I think I need to come down more like 3/4 in the front and stil not be slammed.

Hmm, you might be right but for some reason I remember there being a stock OEM H&R spring size and also a sport but I could be confusing with something else. Wow, #3 is really tall in the rear but #2 in the front shouldn't be that bad. How long ago did you install the springs??? It takes quite some time for them to settle. Post a pic if you have one...

Sorry for the off-topic Magnus!

Glad you liked them The camera is my Canon G7, a GREAT camera. Settings are just a normal Program mode, and the secret to get good pictures in the sun, believe it or not, use the FLASH
