Need help with a problem

Hi all, I've got an issue that I haven't been able to find an answer to by searching the forum. My rear sunshade, which worked the two or three times I tried it before I bought the car, no longer works.

When I push and release the button, I can hear a faint "click" come from the sunshade area and that's it. Then, it worked up and down exactly once, and hasn't worked since. My first inclination was that the button is faulty, but it seems like there is a contact because I can hear that click. Any thoughts? Not like this is the biggest deal in the world, but I am kinda OCD about these sorts of things.

i'd remove the trunk paneling, have someone operate the sunshade button in the car, and you go in your trunk listen for any sounds, if i remember right, it's vaccuum operated just like the locks, could be as simple as disconnected vaccuum hose?

A lot of times the sunshade electric motor sticks. If you hear a click it's probably the relay doing it's job so the switch is probably fine. I've had good luck removing the relay for the sunshade and apply 12v power to "spike" the motor. Of course you probably want to make sure the fuse is good first. Sometimes just pressing the button many times will do it also. Good Luck.

i stand corrected, it's not vaccum based, you can see the motor with the trunk paneling off above the speakers...

Thanks for the replies guys, my final question is just that as I am still kind of unfamiliar with the layout, how can I get to the relay for the sunshade motor? Thanks.
