bought a GPS nav for my e55
got a tomtom one for $75 shipped. this thign is awesome, super fast, easy to use and tons of hacks you can do. i already programmed in a nice "mercedes-benz" and "AMG" logos as startup/end screens.. lol
i'm not mounting the gps on the windshield, but rather on the dash above the ac vents with provided mounting pad. it really looks clean without compromising front view.
this is so cheap & smooth, i cant imagine droppin 2g on a command/oem nav

Friend of mine says he got fully setup with a Garmin for about $350 and that it's the cat's *ss!! Did you do any comparisons between TomTom and Garmin or others? Just curious.

'04 Silverado Z71 - sold all my Benzes and need another!
ProV1, do you have any pics. of it installed on the vent??? In California it is against the law to mount them or anything for that matter on your windshield so this would be cool!
I love the Garmin Nuvi models! They are very compact, touchscreen, full of info and easy to use. I have a couple of the 760's brand new for sale with accessories if anyone is interested; pm me.
