Tints

Vic, what kind of tints are those (what percentage)? I want to get my 95' E320 tinted but don't know what percentage to go with. I want them dark, but not so dark i can't even see out of my car at night...

Thanks!

BTW... that is the coolest E55 I've ever seen

Hey Patz thanks for the kind words. The tint I used is titanium in composition and 30% on the all the doors and 25% in the rear. I chose the 25% in the rear through my tint guy's recommendation. He stated the rear window allows in a lot more light and reducing the percentage by 5% will compensate for the increased light. I have done this on my last 4 cars and it looks and works great. I know my windows may look dark but that's due to the titanium tint that I used- very dark on the outside but really easy to see out from the inside. You will have no problem seeing out of the car during the night.

E 430 v. E55

New member here.

Looking at moving up to a 2002 E 55 from a 2000 E 430. I have not driven an E 55 though. Looking for some comparison to my car in acceleration off the line and at passing acceleration at highway speeds? A considerable difference or not?

Anyone driven both?

Sorry to say but there is no comparisson between the 430 and the 55 other than the body style. You should drive one!

Geez, Vic55. . .

Nobody else posted a photo after you put up your gorgeous ride. Could it be that we're all embarrassed to have our cars compared to yours?

Do you know if the spoiler provides any benefit other than looking fast?

BTW I've been giving some serious thought to "downbadging" my car, replacing the "55" with "320" and removing the "AMG."

Hey mbmb, stop the insanity and dont downbadge, you spent too much money and deserve the respect of others who view your E55 badges. Yeah, it would be fun to mess with 911's and C5's with your "E320" but why?? IMO it just doesnt make sense to do it. Most people really dont know what an E55 entails anyway so changing the badges is not recommended. Since no one else has posted a pic lately, here is another......
