Calling out to all suspension gurus out there - HELP please

My initial plan was to install Koni FSJ shocks with Eibach progressive rate springs just didi hit ground hard.
1) FSJ apperently madfe to work withstock springs
2) Eibach no longer makes E55 kit - only W210 420
morover springs I have order are this 420 kit apperently iregardles of what seller told me. And to return them it's shipping + 25% restoking fee so now I have set for 420 EIB-2557.140
So now is my problem - how do I improve handling as much as I can without killing ride. Like to preserve ride quality as much as I can and do not wat my passengers feel every bump. Also not trying to lower car at all and would hate to have car bottoming out - I drive in NYC/Brooklyn a lot. For not lowering car I could allways go to number 5 pads

So my options so far:
Koni FSJ with stock springs - not sure if they would give me improvment in handling
Kleeman Spings with Koni Sport Adjustable

Anything else? Do not whant to spend arm and a leg and would like to keep everything under $1500-1700 at most for parts. Less is allways better

What about sway bars?

Get Bilstein Shocks and H&R Springs.
Forget swaybars.

Bilstein + H&R according to this board = bad ride quality + bottoming out - not my cup of tea

Another choice might be Vogtland springs. You don't have too many options since majority of these mfg's have/are discontinued the W210 applications.

I recommend the KW suspension variant 2 which is height and rebound adjustable. 18 rebound settings easily acessible in side the trunk and hood, you only need 2 minutes to set them yourself. In softer settings, you get better than stock comfort and much improved handling for your AMG. I paid $1680 for mine 4 months ago. This is the best setup.

The other options I could think of:

1. Koni sports + stock spring. ( most economical but only moderate improvements but better than FSD according to Koni)
2. Bilstein sports + Kleemann springs.

Good Luck!

That's interesting - Koni actually told you that the regular Koni's work better with the stock springs than the FSDs? Please confirm. Surprising since FSD is more expensive. I was thinking of going with FSDs and stock springs, but now I'm confused.

OH. OK. IT'S THIS PART THAT HAD ME CONFUSED:

"1. Koni sports + stock spring. ( most economical but only moderate improvements but better than FSD according to Koni)"

According to the Koni guy I talked to, FSD offers better comfort but less performance than Sport. If your priority is comfort then go with FSD and stock spring.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. My priority is definitely better handling, but I don't know if (i) the Koni Sport can be used with stock springs, and (ii) if the performance benefit of Sport will be off-set by a too stiff ride.
