Potential '02 E55 purchase
Hey Guys:
I've been shopping for an E55 and have found one that I am interested in. Its an independent dealer in the DC area(where I am from), currently selling an 02 Black E55 w/ 63.5k. They are asking 22.9k for it, which in my opinion is ambitious, but its a good looking car. I've scheduled a PPI tomorrow just to cover my bases. They have labeled it an Renntech car, the guy specified that it is just the suspension. I am a bit nervous though because i've called all 3 benz dealerships in the dc area and I am not able to find the service history of the car
. Anyway, I just wanted your thoughts on it. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. If it all checks out, then I may be posting as an E55 Owner.

Thats a good question..I will get that info tomorrow. Is that something that could be retracted into the bumper (manually or mechanically)? I've tried to do some overall research on the car. From the looks of things, the tires need to be replaced. I was concerned about the rotors and brakes. The salesman indicated that the brake pads were replaced, but i will check the integrity of the rotors since they weren't replaced. Would anyone want to help an aspiring e55 owner with a carfax report?

Got the car inspected!
Mercedes Dealer recommended these fixes:
Replace motormounts
Replace Front Tires
Replace Battery-"SDS short test had multiple undervoltage codes, may need battery soon"- unless of course there may be another underlying problem?Any Ideas?
Other than that the car looks mean!
