FS: 2000 Mercedes E55 W210
2000 Mercedes E55 W210 for sale
71K miles
Asking $18,900
Silver/Black
I know this is a mistake selling this car since it has been perfect with no problems ever. I think I want to get the W211 now and must part with this one.
Anyway this car is absolutely in perfect and super clean condition 100% stock with no issues and serviced at Mercedes dealer with all records. You can also take the vin # to any MBZ dealer and they will print a full report for you. I just did service B at 71K miles on 12/03/08 and the car is perfect appearance and mechanical with no dings scratches or anything with no accident history and new BFG tires. They advised me that one of the motor mounts needs to be replaced soon but its not mandatory. When I was buying this car I saw around 10 cars and this was in showroom condition and since I have had it it has been enclosed in a garage at when not driving. I am in the Los Angeles area and can show the car either by meeting close to where I live or at my residence. PM me for vin # and any additional info you might need.

Yeah I have a feeling I will regret it, on the other hand if it does not sell I have no problem driving it for a few more years. It is just that perfect.

No offense at all, but at $17900 it is a tough sell to someone not looking specifically for it. W210 AMG's are dropping like rocks right now, especially with the W212 coming out making these 2 generations old.
It's a tough economy, and it seems like you either have money or you don't, the middle class is being thinned. Unfortunately, the middle class is the target market for luxury cars 7-12 years old. Affordable luxury, well... as long as repairs and maintenance don't run you ragged.
Not to mention there is relatively no warranty options left on most of these.
With all that said, good luck with the sale. To a current owner, these cars are worth every penney.

Beautiful car
Trev:
This is exactly the car I'm looking for.
I live in Canada, so the dual speedo saves me a bit on import compliance costs too. Does it have daytime running lights too?
Is it still for sale?

Yes the car is still availible, just have the Mercedes service writer at Keyes MBZ in Van Nuys, Ca interested in it. He loves the car since he knows the service history and condition. He is still trying to sell his E320 then will buy this one. As far as daytime running lights, this car and I believe no other US spec E55 W210 came with it. Car has 73K miles on it at this time.

I believe I am the third owner, the second owner had the car when it was certified so I was assured every problem was fixed if there where any. The second owner was California since it was certified locally at Mercedes. The first owner I am not sure about but I think it might be out of state. I have had the car since 11/16/07 with no problems at all. I recall the car was in California since 2002 according to the certified purchase of the second owner from Mercedes. The car looks like it has spent 90% of its life in California since exterior looks brand new with no weathering. This is a well kept and maintained car.

You can run a carfax report to determine the history of the car. I.E. State it was first registered as well as title transfers and ownership.

You need to do due diligence by reading the Canada Federal rules and
regulations about importing cars from other countries such as US.

thanks for the link
I have an import broker who specializes in California cars. She's brought up numerous MB models in the past.
Not sure if she's worked with a private seller before.

I checked the book and yes you can change all that, I actually went out to the garage and was able to change all MPH readings to KM very easily. Also the temp changes from F to C. So as far as the digital readings and calculations it is 100% convertible. You can also change the the time to military time. If you become serious in this car I can take a picture and post it for you. But rest assure these functions are availible on this car.

I once sold a car to someone from Alberta. He told me all the documents
he need in order for him to go thru Canada border easily and painlessly.
Got it all lined up, he flew down, I picked him up at his hotel. Exchanged
$ and I made sure he deposited the rest of the amount in my Canadian bank account and title + all pertinent documents and he drove off.
He called me back while he waits at the Canada border for clearances
and it took him 5 hours and he's on his way home.
According to him, with him doing all the documents and requirements, it saved him $1500 Canadian looneys that he would have paid a broker.
Good luck in your car search in the States. I hope you find a gem.

I can vouch for this. It does work as he describes it.
It's been a few years since I tested it on mine.

I don't have anyone nearby. My brother is in Ft. Lauderdale, but that's a bit of a drive!
I am working in India at the moment, so don't have the luxury of a cheap one-way flight from Canada, to do my own importing. Otherwise this would be a no brainer.
Broker fees and transportation adds $2500. to the price, and at the moment the USD-CAD exchange rate is bad! Last year at this time, it was at par.
I'm waiting for a call back from a dealer in Calgary, about an offer I made on a Canadian car. If he doesn't budge, I'll get you to send me a PM with your contact details, for my import broker to start the process.
Thanks for the recent pictures. With the daytime running lights, the Canadian compliance costs will be nothing!
